隨著道奇被紅雀淘汰，今年因傷勢所苦的道奇先發貝基特(Josh Beckett)宣布退休，結束
自己14年大聯盟生涯，他表示，我看不到復健重返球場後，對我生活會有所改變。

道奇連續兩年闖進季後賽，不過離世界大賽始終差一步，去年在國聯冠軍賽2:4敗給紅雀
，今年在亞當斯(Matt Adams)的3分砲下，連兩年栽在紅雀手下。
