這場比賽觀眾稀少有四個原因：

1.週一補賽：這場比賽是中職比較少見的星期一補賽。
2.對戰組合：和信鯨vs三商虎，是當年度倒數第二的沒人氣組合。
3.天候不佳：當時台灣受到巴特颱風外圍環流的影響，賽前有下雨。
